New! from Revlon - Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel - Stormy Night

I love new lines! This is Stormy Night from Revlon's new Colorstay Line. What the cosmetic lady at the drug store said about this is: 

- The line is inspired by UV shellac type polishes, it's sort of a hybrid with some of the same ingredients

- They do not need a UV light to dry

- It is suppose to last very long like shellac, its suppose to be durable and harder then regular polishes

- The line has a base and top coat but you do not need them like UV shellac polishes do

- They discoutinued the Colorstay line of nail polishes a few years back and now are re-releasing (they use to have a bottle that was very similar supposedly)

That was all the cosmetic lady knew about them. I can't wait for more actual information to come out on this line, it sounds exciting. I found these at a London Drugs and it was $8.99 CAD for a 11.7 mL bottle. The store had a bunch of different colours, they were all jumbled up on a messy shelf. The line had a top coat and a base coat, which I would try when these hit other stores where they won't be as expensive. I hope to see these at other stores soon!

China Glaze - Material Girl (Eye Candy Collection Winter 2011)

Pink is my all time favourite colour... EVER! Material Girl from China Glaze's new Eye Candy Collection is a dream. Pink glitter multi dimensional glitter bomb. It has three sizes of pink glitter. Tiny pink glitter, medium pink hexagon glitter, and larger holographic pink hexagon glitter all in a clear base.  I used three coats and took the picture before I put a top coat on. Application was fairly easy for a glitter. The holographic hexagon glitter seemed rather sparse. I would have liked to see a little more, I love my holographic glitter! Winter 2011 Trend: Dark Olived Toned Lacquers

I'm so into these!!! These olive toned polishes seem to be everywhere right now. I have to say I was a little weary of them at first but the moment I tried one, I was in love! These to me are winters neutral, I can't see these clashing with a lot in your wardrobe. They are also interesting colours without being to flashy or blingy, perfect for the office. I included YSL Black Bronze in the olive category cause it really leans to the green side when it't on the nail. All of these I've picked up in the last month or so, so they still might be available where you live. I think everyone should at least try one of these this winter!

Cult Nails Super Powers Collection Pre-sale!

If you haven't heard yet, until Nov. 11 you can pick up Cult Nails Super Powers Collection for 25% off (basically a free polish!) Gareth Pugh for MAC - The Nail Lacquers

I have to say I am excited to see these! November 23rd to December 23rd 2011 MAC will have the Gareth Pugh Collection for sale. It has three nail polishes. All three look a little intriguing, I haven't seen swatches of these yet and the bottles block out most of the view of the colours, but they are named:

- Inert (described as a mid-toned nude - Creme) 

- Ascension (described as a grey with blue violet pearl - Frost)

- Hyper (described as a deep blue with violet pearl - Frost)

All three are Limited Edition and will cost $27.50 CAD/ $23 US.

Gareth Pugh is a London based designer who's designers are very geometric, hence the different bottle design for this collection. I don't know about the price tag on these, I don't know about the regularly high price tag on MAC's polishes in general. I don't feel like they are amazing enough to be worthy of their price tags, so hopefully these are something amazing to justify the enormous $27.50 price tag. Another thing that gets me about MAC is they are a Canadian company and it's cosmetics are MADE in Canada. So whats with the higher price tag for Canadians? You can't really blame duties, tariffs, or taxes. The Canadian dollar is around par with the US dollar, it's actually been consistently higher. It's just a turn off. Anyways... they better be stunning!
