New! from Revlon - Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel - Stormy Night

I love new lines! This is Stormy Night from Revlon's new Colorstay Line. What the cosmetic lady at the drug store said about this is:

- The line is inspired by UV shellac type polishes, it's sort of a hybrid with some of the same ingredients
- They do not need a UV light to dry
- It is suppose to last very long like shellac, its suppose to be durable and harder then regular polishes
- The line has a base and top coat but you do not need them like UV shellac polishes do
- They discoutinued the Colorstay line of nail polishes a few years back and now are re-releasing (they use to have a bottle that was very similar supposedly)

That was all the cosmetic lady knew about them. I can't wait for more actual information to come out on this line, it sounds exciting. I found these at a London Drugs and it was $8.99 CAD for a 11.7 mL bottle. The store had a bunch of different colours, they were all jumbled up on a messy shelf. The line had a top coat and a base coat, which I would try when these hit other stores where they won't be as expensive. I hope to see these at other stores soon!

Slightly larger, not has large as say Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure brushes though.

Revlon Colorstay - Stormy Night

This is a colour that is so hard to photograph, its a beautiful taupe. I think it's slightly more grey or purple then it's showing and a lot less green toned. I used one coat of CND Sticky as a base, two coats of Stormy Night, and one coat or Seche Vite top coat. This is an actual one coater, but I still use two (go figure). After one coat it was very opaque. Drying time wasn't very long, but wasn't very short either. I'd say about the same as any other polish. Application was very easy, except when I was getting to my 9th or 10th finger and it felt slightly more thicker to apply.  I tried to find more information on them and all I could find was here, she mentioned you will feel a 'tingle' I defiantly felt no tingle. LOL

Nicole by OPI - My Empire... My Rules, OPI You Don't Know Jacques, Zoya Petra, compared to Revlon Colorstay - Stormy Night

Essie - Marino Cool, Rimmel - Steel Grey, China Glaze - Below Deck, compared to Revlon Colorstay -Stormy Night

It's most like OPI You Don't know Jacques, about two shades lighter, but had the same brown/grey/purple balance (if that makes any sense). I'll have to try it out to see how long it'll last, I really like this colour (obvious by how many 'like' colours I have). I wear colours like these all work week long.

THANKS FOR DROPPING IN!

I'm so curious how long your mani lasted with this new polish. Well?
