Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Collection Halloween 2011

This is a round up of my links to this collection the only one I didn't do a post on was the Night Glow the glow in the dark polish. I'll put a few pictures of it below.

Wet n Wild - Behind Closed Doors (On The Prowl Collection Halloween 2011)

This is one of the two polishes I bought from the Wet n Wild On The Prowl Halloween collection. This is colour is called Behind Closed Doors. The other polish I bought from this collection was Cougar Attack (click here to see swatches). On The Prowl was a Halloween collection from Wet n Wild and had 8 limited edition polishes. Behind Closed Doors is a close match to Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Red Slippers. Both are a black base with red hexagon glitter and regular glitter scattered throughout.

I used one coat of OPI Black Onyx (plain black creme) and one coat of Behind Closed Doors, finished with Seche Vite top coat. I'm totally loving this. I'm just not totally sure when I'd actually wear this but the red really does pop against the black. I highly suggest using a black base with this one.

This collection was very hard to come by. When I did find these they were at a SuperStore in the Halloween section. They were $2.99 CAD each. I'm sure glad I found it!

Thursday Night = Grey's Anatomy (Wet n Wild - Gray's Anatomy)

#1 reason I love Thursdays? Cause Grey's Anatomy is on! Grey's Anatomy is the only show right now that I follow religiously. I like many shows but Grey's is the only one I MUST watch each week. So I admittedly only bought this polish for it's name. When I was about 8 or 9 years old, I use to looove Wet n Wild, they were 99 cents and when they were on sale they were only 69 cents.  My mom would let me buy like 5 of them at a time and I'd keep them all in a little rubbermaid bin. Such good memories. Now a days I have very new Wet n Wild polishes.

I used 3 coats to get something not so sheer and no top coat. Gray's Anatomy is part of Wet n Wilds collection of polishes that are gimmicky named after TV shows. It's a sheer duochrome. To me it's a pinkish/grey/green. Very pretty and subtle. Not an overly flashy polish. I'm really liking it. I would also suggest trying it over black. These are $2.99 CAD / $1.99 US per .5 oz bottle.

Wet n Wild - Cougar Attack (On The Prowl Collection Halloween 2011)

I'm so glad I finally found this one! This is Cougar Attack from Wet n Wild's On The Prowl Halloween Collection. It's a close match to Deborah Lippmann's Superstar. Both are copper/amber glitter with a medium brown base, total gorgeousness. This is over OPI Black Onyx (plain black creme). I used two coats of OPI Black Onyx and one coat of Cougar Attack finished with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.  I really wanted to try this over a chocolate brown polish, but realized I don't have any plain dark brown cremes! Browns have never been my thing, but I should try one sometime.

I found this one at SuperStore in the Halloween section. The only place I've seen displays of the On The Prowl Collection in Vancouver is in SuperStore, and I've noticed that not all SuperStores have the displays. Very hit or miss. It was $2.99 CAD and 100% worth it!

The Halloween (no art skills necessary) Manicure

I have to say Halloween is the perfect time to bust out that "old" bottle of shatter/crackle nail polish. It's amazing how quickly fashion has it's turn around. I remember the first time I wore out my OPI Black Shatter and the girl at the MAC store was in complete awe, that was only this March! It's so funny, Black Shatter was completely hard to find, girls would stalk salons to find it and the salons that DID have it would charge up to $15 for a bottle! Now you can buy it anywhere. I feel like I've been tired of shatter for ages now. So this would be the perfect time to get some use out of it. I don't know about you but I keep my nail polishes in a dark closet but my OPI Shatter has gone very chunky already. So I figure it'll be a good time to get probably the last use out of it.

Anyways this is Wet N Wild Creepy Pumpkin (click here to see it on it's own) with a layer of OPI Black Shatter and Seche Vite top coat. I looooove how this turned out. The beautiful orange shimmer peaking out looks amazing. Perfect for girls like me that have a phobia of nail art. It doesn't take a lot of time and it has zero chances of going wrong... and so pretty! Look at the orange underneath!

THANKS FOR DROPPING IN!

Wet n Wild - Black Magic (Fantasy Makers Collection Halloween 2011)

This would have to be my least favourite of the Fantasy Makers this year. This is Black Magic, is one of the four polishes from the Fantasy Makers Collection. Black Magic is a black creme with subtle copper colour glitter. It's so subtle you can barely see in when on the nail. This is two coats with one coat of Seche Vite top coat. I have such a love/hate relationship with Seche Vite, you can see the terrible shrinkage around the edges.

Fantasy Makers can be found in London Drugs, Superstore (click here), Zellers, and Shoppers Drug Mart from what I know. They are about $3 CAD each.

Wet n Wild - Creepy Pumpkin (Fantasy Makers Collection Halloween 2011)

I'm still loving these cute bottles. My only beef with them is to close them tightly they look off. Anyways this is Creepy Pumpkin from Wet n Wilds Fantasy Makers Collection. Its a bright orange jelly with tons of light orange glass flake type shimmer in it. It's gorgeous! I used two coats and you could still see a the nail underneath.

Fantasy Makers can be found in London Drugs, Superstore (click here), Zellers, and Shoppers Drug Mart from what I know. They are about $3 CAD each.

Wet n Wild - Purple Potion (Fantasy Makers Collection Halloween 2011)

I love how cute these bottles are! Fantasy Makers this year has four different colours that I know of. This one is Purple Potion. Fantasy Makers are from the brand Wet n Wild and they come out for Halloween. This colour seems to be the same as Wet n Wild's Night Prowl from there permanent line.

Purple Potion is a black jelly base with fuchsia glitter. I used two coats plus a coat of Seche Vite top coat. I felt like a top coat was a must for this one, because it lost a lot of shine once it dried. This one was one of my favourites of the collection, it's a lot like Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance minus the hexagon glitter.

Fantasy Makers can be found in London Drugs, Superstore (click here), and Zellers from what I know. They are about $3 CAD each.
