Sally's Beauty Supply - Finger Paints Kaleidoscope Collection - 5 flakie top coats

I spotted this display at my local Sally's Beauty Suppy over a week ago and didn't think much of it, then I saw a swatch of them and knew I had to go back and give them a second look. Surprisingly the display was still full, I guess flakies aren't as coveted as they once were. I picked up one of the five different shades, I picked up Abstract Attraction it was the only one that looked appealing to me since I do have a lot of flakie polishes already. I'll have a swatch of Abstact Attraction soon!

Essie - Shine of the Times (Luxeffects Collection Holiday 2011)

Really? How freakin' gorgeous! I love this collection! If you'd like to see the press release click here, which also shows the other 4 colours. This is the ever so hyped about Shine of the Times, a FLAKIE!!! Props to Essie for changing it up a bit and they totally came out with a winner in my opinion. I used to over OPI Black Onyx, which is a simple black creme. I used one coat of Shine of the Times, I used the brush to work the flakies around to my liking. Totally stunning. Flakies come in many colours but this seems to be the one used most, they are a orange/green/yellowish colour. I've compared it to Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Nubar 2010, and I'll link that post here when it's up. I think this is a must have. I purchased mine at NailPolishCanada.com for $9.75 CAD. They were the first place I've seen get them in stock. They have great customer service and free shipping on orders over $29 ($50 to the states). I'm not sure when these will be available in stores.

Coat Nail Polish by Coastal Scents - Universe Collection

A new nail polish brand to show you! Last month Coastal Scents came out with Coat nail polishes. I had done a post about ordering them before here. These three polishes are from the Universe Collection, which includes 6 other polishes. The three that I have for you today are Cosmic, Comet, and Meteorite. These were $3.95 US each / 0.2 fl. oz.

COAT COSMIC SWATCHES

By far my favourite of the three. Anyone who missed out of the illusive Limited Edition Joe Fresh Twilight polish last Winter, will sure be happy to see Cosmic. I used a coat of OPI Black Onyx (plain black creme), and two coats of Cosmic. I think polishes like these are meant to be layered, on its own its very thin. Just like Twilight, its a black (that leans green) jelly base with beautiful green/yellow/orange/blueish flakies depending on how the light hits it. You can also check out my post of Joe Fresh Twilight here.

This is by far the Holiday collection I'm most excited for! The Luxeffects from Essie is due out in December. It's 5 sparkly, glittery, flakie gorgeous polishes.
Their names are: (from left to right)

- As Cold as it Gets
- Set in Stone

Shine of the times has been the polish getting lots of hype, its a flakie! Everyone that missed out on Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure last year, I'm sure will get their flakie fix. I know I can't wait to swatch these!

Favourite Lacquers 2011: Joe Fresh - Twilight (S/S 2011 Collection)

My midterms are all over, I'm happy, so it's time to break out one of my all time favourite polishes. This is one of a very very few polishes that I have a "back up" of just in case I ever run out of the first bottle! I'm a huge believer that polishes get duped and copied so much that back ups aren't necessary, so to say that I have two of these is something. I also bought this polish as gifts for a few people when it came out too... ok enough talk about how much I love this stuff!

This is Joe Fresh in Twilight. I came out for Spring/Summer this year and I believe this was limited edition. I haven't seen it available at my SuperStore in the past while, but maybe they'll bring it back! I know I looooved Joe Fresh in Mint and it went away for about a year, and just recently I saw a whole new stock of them at my grocery store. So there is hope!

Nothing foul about this polish! Orly - Fowl Play (Birds of a Feather Collection Fall 2011)

This one of going to be one hot seller! Orly has a collection coming out for Fall called Birds of a Feather, it's 6 polishes all with bird themed names. Sea Gurl, Sweet Peacock, Nite Owl, Lucky Ducky, Peachy Parrot, and Fowl Play are all Limited Edition due to be released right about now! Fowl Play is described has just 'purple sparkle' on the press releases but it's more then just sparkle! It's flakies!

Fowl Play I will describe as a dark purple jelly filled with flakies that flash red/orange/yellow, it also has sparkles in purple, blue. In other words pure gorgeousness!

SO pretty! Its suppose to be close dupe for 2009 Merry Midnight by OPI. I'm absolutely in love with it!
