Smouldering goodness... Orly - Rococo A-Go-Go (Mineral FX Collection Fall 2011)

Orly recently came out with the Mineral FX Collection. It had 6 new polishes, Stone Cold, Rock Solid, Rock the World, Rock-It, Emberstone, and Rococo A-Go-Go. The gorgeousness is Rococo A-Go-Go a deep raspberry purple with a golden duochrome. 

This was $8.99 US at a Sally's Beauty Supply in Washington, it's 18 mL. The price is a little more then the regular price of Orly, I'm not totally sure why they would raise the prices. I haven't seen these in Vancouver yet, but Orly is a little hard to come by here. I suggest trying eBay if you can't find it near you. I used two coats plus a coat of Seche Vite to seal it. It's gorgeous! So worth checking out!

New! Quo by Orly - Night Sky

This is Quo by Orly's Night Sky. I was most excited about this polish out of all of them. But I have to say it is one of those 'better in the bottle' polishes. I did a post last week (click here to see), about the new Quo by Orly nail polish line that Shoppers Drug Mart is coming out with. They are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Marts, and cost $10 CAD each for 14 mL (regular Orly's are 18 mL).

I expected it to have more depth. It's a deep purple with small micro flakes of gold that flashes pink depending how you look at it. The bottle picture below is really what I wanted it to turn out as on the nail. But as you can see it turned out to be more of a sparkly dark purple. I still think it's pretty just not as gorgeous as the bottle led it to be.

She sells sea shells by the sea shore! Orly - Sea Gurl (Birds of a Feather Collection 2011)

Orly's newest collection Birds of a Feather has a few great polishes, I already posted the hit Fowl Play (see here). This is Sea Gurl and in Orly press release for Birds of a Feather they describe it simply as "grey shimmer." It's a dark grey with tons of silvery micro-shimmer. You can see the bottle has veins of shimmer. It has a touch of gold to it, which makes it look kinda antiqued. 

This was two coats and they both went on very smoothly. Isn't it stunning!? It's a great neutral to wear everyday but it's not boring at all. Love it! I'm thinking this would look amazing with a LBD?

So far Fowl Play and Sea Gurl are the two I have from the collection. They seem to be the most unique, so I went with them to try. I bought mine from an e-tailer for $9.50 CND and shipping was free because I spent over a certain amount. I'm pretty excited for Fall, loads of great colours being released!

Proud day to be Canadian - Quo by Orly!

Uh Suprise! I had no idea that this line was coming out. I was just walking though Shoppers yesterday and I spotted Gosh's new Fall collection and these! Quo which is Shoppers Drug Mart's exclusive cosmetics brand has teamed up with Orly to produce some wicked polishes.  I bought 3 of them, the display had 5, but judging from the pictures in google images there is going to be a whole line coming out!

This was the display, the 2nd and 4th from the left look like Luxe and Rage.

I knew I wanted these right away but I was on my lunch break when I noticed them and my wallet was in my office, so I asked the lady to put these on hold and I would come back. I went back three hours later, all of Turquoise Moolight were gone already and there were only a few of the other colours left. Not all Shoppers Drug Marts have this display out yet, I went to my dentist today which is beside another Shoppers and they didn't know anything about any Quo nail polishes. 

Nothing foul about this polish! Orly - Fowl Play (Birds of a Feather Collection Fall 2011)

This one of going to be one hot seller! Orly has a collection coming out for Fall called Birds of a Feather, it's 6 polishes all with bird themed names. Sea Gurl, Sweet Peacock, Nite Owl, Lucky Ducky, Peachy Parrot, and Fowl Play are all Limited Edition due to be released right about now! Fowl Play is described has just 'purple sparkle' on the press releases but it's more then just sparkle! It's flakies! 

Fowl Play I will describe as a dark purple jelly filled with flakies that flash red/orange/yellow, it also has sparkles in purple, blue. In other words pure gorgeousness! 

SO pretty! Its suppose to be close dupe for 2009 Merry Midnight by OPI. I'm absolutely in love with it!
